Since I don’t have as much hard drive space on my MacBook Air as I do on my
iMac, I just went into the sync settings of my dropbox preferences and
unselected the larger folders. This allows me to continue using dropbox on my
MacBook Air without syncing large folders that would utilize all of my local
hard drive. This also meant I didn’t have to leave the shared folder as I can
still access them from my iMac.
