Personally I’d opt for the 15” pro over the 13” pro laptop. The 15” pros has
the advantage of quad or 6 pro processors and discrete graphics. That being
said, There are very few actual USB-C interfaces on the market most of the
USB-C interfaces are really just USB 2 interfaces with a USB-C cable to connect
easily to the new computers. Given that you have a 003, and if pro tools is
still your main DAW why not get the appropriate dongles so you can continue
using the 003. Otherwise I’d advise a Thunderbolt interface wit along with the
thunderbolt to Thunderbolt 3 dongle. The only company I can think of off hand
that actually makes a thunderbolt 3 interface is the Universal Audio Apollo.
Which is a 2 in 2 out interface with two mic/line combo jacks for the inputs.
So since there is no actual USB-C interfaces and thunderbolt interfaces still
require a dongle with newer USB-c/Thuderbolt 3 computers I’d probably hold off
a little bit longer unless you really want to get rid of your 003.
