Hi Jimmy,
You have no idea how potentially big that question is because you're new to Pro
Tools and nobody has any idea whether you've configured both your OS and Pro
Tools to work best. So any answer to your question has the potential to not
work because you might not have track and edit selection linked or possibly
insertion following playback, among many other things. It's like asking someone
how to get from point A to point B by car and the answer is drive from point A
to point B. Meanwhile, nobody said anything about how to steer or whether your
parking brake is engaged not to mention if it's a manual or automatic
transmission.

So, analogies aside, using the numeric keypad, press slash then 8 then slash 12
and Enter. Boom. Easy peasy. Keep in mind, however, it might not work for you
if, say, you didn't have an insertion cursor in your audio track. Your next
question might be something like, "How do you know if there's an insertion
cursor in the track?" See what I mean about how potentially big a seemingly
simple question can be?
Hope that helps,
Slau
