There might be an on/off switch in the MIDI input settings in the Options menu,
to ignore velocity info from the source. But I’ve not checked this, just an

Is it possible to set the velocity of a midi instrument before you record it?

sometimes, so I'm wondering if velocity can be set before the actual recording
instead of after.
