Hi Christopher: Let me clear the confusion real quick. The difference is that instantiating the plugin in using the Insert apply the effect to the whole track. Instantiating through the audio suite in the meanu applies the effect to a selected portion of audio in the track. Let say you want 5seconds of a 15 seconds audio to sound like it's coming from a transistor radio. You can easily make your 5secs insertion using the up and down arrows, for instace. Then VO plus M to bring up the menu and go for audio suite to select what you need. Once your desired choice is rendered, the selected audio portion takes the form of the effect applied, leaving the rest of the audio portion in the track untouched.
