Sorry for cross posting, but I thought some of you might be interested.
I just bought SSL2+ audio interface for $279, and it's very accessible.
When I walked by SSL booth at NAMM this year with my friend, he pointed
it out, but we didn't really pay attention because SSL gears are pretty
pricy.
Then when I wanted to get one, it was out of stock everywhere. Now it
seems like a lot of places have them in stock.
They are also giving $880 worth of ssl plugins for free as long as you
register your unit this year.
Originally they give VocalStrip and DrumStrip, but they're adding X-Comp
and FlexVerb as holiday promotion. Also You get 6 months free trial for
all SSL native plugins.
First, the unit has knobs and buttons. There is no touch pads or multi
purpose encoders.
It also worked out of the box on Mac without any installation. Obviously
you need to install the plugins if you want to use them, and they are
authorized by iLok.
All the controls are on the top of the unit.

You can feel if a button is pressed/released.
2. Two knobs to control gain for each input
3. Two knobs for seperate headphone levels
4. Knob for main output
5. Knob for direct monitor mix
6. Button to engage two inputs in stereo mode
7. Button to seperate output channel 1-2 from 3-4
All the connections are in the back.

3. Two rca connections for channel 1-2, 3-4
4. Two headphone outs
5. Midi in/out
6. USB-c port
They give you an usb-c to usb-c cable, and an usb-c to usb-a cable.
As far as performance, I was able to play a project with 16 audio
tracks, full String sections from Spitfire BBC Pro (Violins A, Violins
B, Violas, Celli, Basses) and Embertone Concert D.
Those sample libraries are extremely resource intensive, but I was able
to play without glitch at 128 samples latency on both Pro Tools and Logic.
I haven't had a chance to use their plugins extensively yet, but From a
brief glance, I was able to find all the parameters I needed with
VoiceOver. To choose a preset, I needed to rely on VOCR.
As far as sound, they are not Apollo or Apogee, but the preamps are
pretty clean. The 4k switch is not a magic, but has a nice touch. You
can find better reviews from people who have used more extensively.
If you've been thinking about picking up a portable audio interface, it
seems a pretty solid choice especially for the price!
