Hello Tom! Have you had the same behaviour under Ventura?
What happens - instead of pressing asterisk (NumpadStar) - if you e.g. open the Memory Locations window by pressing Command+Numpad5 and then closing it by pressing Command+Numpad5 again? Does the VO cursor also loses the last focus location here? I belief that there was a similar focus issue in an older Mac OS version. But maybe I'm wrong.
