I'm trying to build pth (1.4.0 or 1.4.1) statically linked on Solaris 2.7. I'm using the latest GNU make, gcc (3.0.3), and binutils from sunfreeware.com. The generated Makefile has no static target, I know 1.3.7 did. I'm trying to build it for jabberd.
