Has anyone considered/looked into the possibilities of connecting Ptolemy II
with symbolic packages such as Maple or Mathematica? I'm thinking here of
doing design/analysis (symbolically) for one or several CT actors in a
symbolic environment and then from that representation generating code for
Ptolemy (where subsequently the numerical computation is done). This would be
an extremely valuable extension to Ptolemy which would, for instance,
facilitate use of Ptolemy for a whole range of more advanced control system
applications.
