There has been some work in these areas, but not much has been released. Offhand, I don't know of specific work simulating microcontrollers or analog electric supplies in Ptolemy II. We did do some work with Lego Mindstorms and with IEEE 1588 controllers. With regard to FPGA's, Professor Wirthlin's group at BYU did some work with JHDL, see Integrating the JHDL Design Environment in Ptolemy II http://ptolemy.eecs.berkeley.edu/conferences/01/src/miniconf/09wirthlin.pdf The JHDL/Ptolemy II interface is not actively being developed.
