Hi Giri,

HyVisual, VisualSense and Ptolemy II all share common code, but
each have a different configuration

HyVisual is for Hybrid System modeling so it has the CT and DE
domains.

VisualSense is for Wireless Sensor Network modelling so it has
the Wireless domain (there might be some other domains as well.)

Ptolemy II is the superset of HyVisual and VisualSense.
Ptolemy II includes other domains as well.

With Ptolemy II installed, you can run HyVisual with:
     vergil -hyvisual
or VisualSense with
     vergil -visualsense

With Ptolemy II, if you run
     vergil
then you get all the domains.

HyVisual-5.0-alpha was release on March 4.

Ptolemy II 5.0-beta will be released on May 12 at the Ptolemy
Miniconference (http://ptolemy.eecs.berkeley.edu/conferences/05/index.htm)

I think it would be fairly difficult to merge
the Wireless domain from Ptolemy II 4.0 in to HyVisual-5.0-alpha.

In principle, it is fairly straight forward to create a configuration
that added the Wireless domain to HyVisual, but this would
be easiest in a full Ptolemy II tree, such as Ptolemy II-5.0-beta
or the CVS devel tree.

The configuration for HyVisual is in ptolemy/configs/hyvisual
ptolemy/configs/hyvisual/configuration.xml specifies the
configuration.

You could try mixing and matching with the VisualSense configuration
in ptolemy/configs/visualsense

Or, you could just run the full version of Ptolemy II and
avoid the configuration.

Does anyone have experience adding the wireless domain to HyVisual? Or can
someone speak to how easy or difficult this is?
