Do you mean that you have written a star file (.pl)? If yes, what Domain
you are using?

1) Make sure you have read all necessary information from the
   Ptolemy site (README, INSTALL, Appendix A: Installation and
   Troubleshooting, Programmer's Manual etc.) before going on.
 
2) Which Linux (version/release), which Ptolemy version/release
   (downloaded binaries or self compiled binaries), and which
   gcc/egcs/c++ (version/release) are you using? It should be
   the same compiler version which had been used to compile
   the Ptolemy binaries.

3) An exact(!) copy of all the error messages and warnings
   (appearing in vem window, standard output/error, tcl/tk
   window) is needed. Otherwise I will not be able to help
   you.

4) What does the command "df" and "df -i" say?

5) What does "ls -al /tmp" say?
