First off, Jose Pino mentioned that there is an EE Times article about the Miniconference at http://www.eet.com/story/OEG19990223S0020 A snapshot of the demos that we ran at the Ptolemy II Miniconference is available at: http://ptolemy.eecs.berkeley.edu/ptolemyII/ptII0.2/ Below is the text from that file: --start-- At the Ptolemy Miniconference, we showed several Ptolemy II applet demonstrations. The complexity of these applets vary. The first applet that is run will probably download ptsupport.jar, which is 325k. Each applet then will download smaller domain specific jar files of between 20k and 85k. Some of the applets use Diva, which in turn requires that the JDK1.2 plugin be installed on your machine. If you have JDK1.2 installed on your machine, then the plugin may already be installed. You may obtain the JDK1.2 plugin from JavaSoft (http://www.javasoft.com/products/plugin/) The applets that require JDK1.2 are clearly marked. The diva.jar file is roughly 550k, so you may experience a delay if you are connected via a modem. The webpages below are a snapshot of the state of our development tree and should not be viewed as production quality code. In particular, if you have problems running the applets, then you should try reloading the java code by hitting Shift-Reload under Netscape Communicator or Control-Reload under Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you continue to have problems, you may want to review the Troubleshooting Guide. We would be interested in any feedback you might have concerning these demos.
