Try this...
In your file SDFDistributor.pl, you must have defined an outmulti port. Here I will
call it 'output'. After starting pigi, type '*' to create a star. Then under Star
name: instead of typing 'Distributor', type 'Distributor.output=8'. You can do this
as many times as you wish with different number of output ports.

I am using PTOLEMY ver 0.6 on Solaris2.6.
I want to write my own star for communication application.
For this I need to have 8 output ports.
As an example, I checked Distributor block in Control sub-library of
SDF domain. There are 4 types of same block but with different number of
output ports. But the source file SDFDistributor.pl is same for all 4
versions. My query is how to create various versions (with different number
of input or output ports) from a single .pl file? I have checked out
Programmer's manual but could not get any clue except that it is probably
decided by 'numberPorts' method of portname.
Any clue?????
