They can be downloaded from
ftp://ftp.tu-ilmenau.de/pub/unix/ptolemy/ptolemy0.7.1.linux/.

Rpm-3.x (which comes with RedHat 6.0) is buggy. It cannot handle
packages which have many files/directories of the same name. This is the
case with Ptolemy, e.g.:

   file or | number
   directory | of
   name | occurrences
   -------------------------
   schematic | 2965
   contents; | 2903
   interface; | 2802

Downgrade rpm-3.x to rpm-2.5.6-6.0 (can be found at the same location)
_B_E_F_O_R_E_ trying to install/upgrade/uninstall the Ptolemy packages.
Read the file KNOWN_BUGS!

Regards,

Wolfgang.
PS: If you want to send questions to the Ptolemy newsgroup then you
should send them to mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] rather than
posting them to the newsgroup directly. Messages sent via this mailing
list will be sent to many Ptolemy hackers subscribed to that list and
additionally be forwarded to the newsgroup comp.soft-sys.ptolemy. So
chances are much bigger that somebody will get your message. E.g. I read
the newsgroup articles only very rarely and beside this our news server
drops a lot of messages because many of the messages are already timed
out before they reach our server. This is valid for many other news
server, too.
