Hi,
I've recently installed SuSE Linux 7.0 Professional with XFREE86 v. 4.0 as
my X-server. I later on went to try and installed ptolemy using the rpm's.
Ptolemy installed fine and I did manage to run it, however the initial
windows loaded up after the VEM window are appearing pitch black, and
therefore I cannot use ptolemy. I was wondering whether anyone can across
this problem and whether it's related to XFREE86 v. 4.0. I used to use
ptolemy on Linux Mandrake 7.0 with XFREE86 v. 3.3 and never came across this
problem. I therefore linked the problem to v. 4.0 of XFREE86, but I'm not
sure that this is 100% the cause.
