Yes, regardless of the AP, in 802.11b/g you can easily DOS a single  
access point with a single client device with either
a spamming virus (hundreds of simultaneous connections to random  
hosts) or bit torrent. Both of which send hundreds
to thousands of small packets per second. This eats up all the time  
slots and brings the AP to it's knees.
