Tim Gordon from KOIN News 6 emailed me out of the blue yesterday to do a piece on reuse of the MetroFi Albatrosses (his term, which I thought was pretty clever). We chatted for a bit near Pioneer Square and they ended up doing two slightly different pieces on the 5 and 11 o'clock news yesterday.
Unfortunately, I can't link directly to the story, but here are the newscasts in question: 5 o'clock news: http://www.koinlocal6.com/content/mediacenter/[email protected]&navCatId=345 This one is a bit more indepth of the two. The clip starts around 3:50. 11 o'clock news: http://www.koinlocal6.com/content/mediacenter/[email protected]&navCatId=345 This is basically a shorter version of the earlier story, but it uses a different part of my interview. The clip starts around 10:30. Thanks to KOIN news for checking on this story and doing a good job of representing what I said, and thanks to Brendan Finn at the city for pointing them in our direction. Also, Russell and I are both unavailable for a weekly this evening, but if someone would like to announce a location, y'all should feel free to drink beer and talk WiFi. We will have a Monthly next week at Roots as usual. -- Michael Weinberg President Personal Telco Project, Inc.
