Hi .. I use Powell's Cafe Personaltelco... with my last two laptops I connected automatically.. then got the open screen.. clicked on accept and off I went.
In the case of Powell's node and another wifi where you have to click a button accepting conditions I never get to the screen.. ! The WIFI PRO/SET software will connect totally.. it glows green.. I go to it and get a connect message, yet in the case of Powell's I get to a screen that does not have the accept button. What should or can I do to use wifi at this node? I did find the homepage for powell's node .. saw a couple of SSID indicators.. I opened up my wifi connection and will try this number that came up under BSSID I think.. 00:0F:B5:3F:20:E5 will put this in the security section. and see if that works. ' I'm flying blind here.. can't figure it out.. the coffee shop I'm at now just connects automatically.. as it does with any strong enough signal..but if there is a page where I have to click accept... or connect it never shows up. Is there any general rule to follow in setting up my WIFI settings? I'd sure appreciate the help. I still have my larger older laptop .. I can use it at Powell's fine. .but got this Dell D410 a 12" screen and half the weight of my old one.
