Dear Personal Telco Supporters,

Well, the end of the tax year is approaching, and the opportunity to
support a cause like the Personal Telco Project and deriving a mild
tax-benefit in the process is beginning to narrow. Over the history
of PTP, we have gone through considerable gyrations to become and
maintain our status as a 501(c)(3), so we might as well try to take
advantage of that.

Last year, we had a project to fund the AlixCab project, and that went
very well. This year, we don't have any specific hardware needs.

One of the biggest impediments to most of the new-node requests we get
is: "I can't afford the internet connection". Historically, that's
something we couldn't do anything about. I'm wondering if, this year,
we might try raising, say $600-$800 and actually buy bandwidth for
some worthy location for a year, to enable people to get online
somewhere they otherwise wouldn't.

PTP has lots of things to do, but most of them don't involve money.
This is one thing that does.

Thoughts?
