Hello
I wonder if someone can enlighten me here - I must be missing something very simple.
I am a jazz musician and often use Play-Along CD's to help students (or myself). These are stereo CD's, with the bass and drums on one channel, and the piano on the other. The idea being that if you are a trumpeter, sax player or whatever you listen to both channels with the full piano, bass and drums, but if you (like me) are a piano player you only listen to one channel, the one without the piano.
If I connect an ordinary CD player through a stereo I can balance the speakers as expected. However, if I connect either my PTR1 or Victor Classic, I only get the one channel - the one with the bass and drums.
I cannot understand why a Daisy machine that plays standard CD's should only replay one channel of a stereo CD through the headphone jack but plays both normally through its (albeit single) speaker.
I am either doing something wrong here or missing something. I have tried with both mono and stereo jack adapters but get the same result.
Any help welcomed, or any mods that can safely be made here to the PTR1?
Thanks in advance.
