Carol thanks for pointing this out. It is always good to know such things, although it will not help you to feel any better about it. At least some people on here should be able to tell you which cards they have used without problems on the PTR1.

(Incidentally, I did have a second card also of the same make and got the same results, so it's not a faulty card so far as I can judge.) I would be interested if anyone has knowledge of the size and types of original formatting of Flash cards which the PTR1 can take, or those which are known to be "off limits". It certainly is worth bearing in mind that, just because the card appears to work for the first ten minutes, doesn't mean it's compatible.
