Regarding determination of bit rate... If you use winamp, play the audio file and press letter c to pause, then hit alt plus the number 3. You can then use your jaws cursor to read from top to bottom of the screen, and towards the bottom of the screen you will hear the bit rate of your audio file. read slowly line by line or you will miss it. I usually go through this procedure to determine bit rate of my audio files so that I don't burn files that are too low or too high bit rates, which of course result in gaps between audio tracks.
