Hi folks, I want to put a scanned book onto a cd as mp3 files. I've decided to use Open Book. I chose the option to break the file into individual pages, then I copied those files and pasted them into the cd drive, and lastly I selected the Windows xp "write these files to cd" option from the file menu. I went through the cd wizard that comes up, answering no to hi mat, and choosing to create a data cd rather than music. The process seemed to complete without a hitch, but when I put the disc into the Plextalk, it won't play. I can navigate amongst the files, i.e. press the heading key and type in a particular file number and the Plextalk will take me there, but when I press play all I get is some whirring from the cd and nothing else.
Has anyone accomplished this process? Am I missing a step, or doing something incorrectly? I've been able to create mp3 cd's, when the mp3's were song files, but this disc just won't play.
