Hi all, Sorry for not jumping in with comments sooner; have been busy, and caught the tale end of this thread, which made me go back through prior posts.
The main objective of this list is to provide help and support to PTR1 users, hence the name. On the list, we have to assume that if anyone who is asking a question, needs further help/clarification on points. While I aggree the original question could have perhaps been a bit more better phrased, i.e, suggesting that they had read through the manual etc, and didn't understand what they were being told to do, the replies could have taken two forms: that of helping the user through the problem, and explaining where to find the points in the manual, and perhaps pointing them to the manual for further issues if they have not really read the manual, or the respondant thinks that the user could do with some documentary help. Specificly, chapter/section references could have been of benefit here, if the user knew them. After all, if we replied to every question with the comment to just ``go and read the manual'', it would cease to function as a list, and would also waste a considderable amount of bandwidth. Hope this makes sense to people; nobody is in the wrong in this instance, but it would be really good if this could go on being the helpful list that I originally intended to be; we're not going too wrong so far! (or so I think anyway!!!). Andrew. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
