Hi, You can convert to DAISY quickly, but it may not be any use as there are no navigational levels. These are what make the DAISY format useful; the fact you can drill down into levels.
Lets deal with the audio cds first: The PRS software can convert these to DAISY - or they can be played on the PTR1 themselves. If he wants more than one book on the disk he will have to audio import using PRS, then copy the book onto CD and then either copy onto card/copy back to CD, or edit the Discinfo.HTML file manually to reflect paths. Text files - do an audio import with the PRS software and a SAPI synthesiser. Once you get the files onto the PTR1 you can then add headings as you go. You can also add headings on the PRS software if you know where you want to put them in. However, I like listening to the text on the PTR1 and then just press the heading button where I want the heading dropped. Hope this helps. Am asking the following on behalf of a client and have reproduced part of his e-mail below! Any help would be much appreciated! Cheers! Graham 3 Daisy I have many training audio CD;s and a lot of text documents. I need to find the quickest means to get them to the CD in an accessible method. Because I do not understand the format, I do not have time to experiment. You know what it is like something as simple as names of CD;s may be important, but I don't have time to experiment.
