Yes, of course the stereo PCM is the only format that I have been able
to play on my boom box.  The 128 stereo is just twice the 64 bit mono.
Another words it is actually just a left channel recorded at 64 and a
right channel recorded at 64.  You do not get any increase in fidelity
with 128 -- just the benefit of stereo perspective.

Hi, Penny!

If you choose 128 bit MP3 or the PCM formats, you should get stereo 
recordings.  I believe that all the lower bit rate settings will be 
mono.  I thought it actually said mono or stereo in the selection 
list.  Listen carefully and maybe you will find it there.  I could be 
mistaken, at least on the PTR1 itself.
