David and Georges,

Thanks for the feedback. David, 3 further questions:

1. What does the "HA" in the name of the card signify?

2. Is the card you mention a solid state card with no moving parts or is it a
microdrive type of device?

3. Does your card require an adaptor or does it fit directly into the PCMCIA
slot?

Thanks in advance,

Jamie

I purchased from them a 5GB card type II PCM CIA HA card which works well in
my PTR1. The purchase was in 2003, so prices may have changed since then
but the cost of the card was 147.50 plus 25.81 V.A.T. plus shipping of
4.20 making a total of 177.51.

I ordered via the internet at 4 p.m. and the card arrived the following
morning.

Hope this is of help to you.

David

Subject: Cards for the PTR1

Dear all,

I am trying to help a friend get information about possible cards that she
could use in her PTR1. As I don't have any experience of getting one
myself, I was wondering if anyone could advise on the following points:

1. What is the largest available Compact Flash card that will work with the
PTR1? I have heard people talking about 5GB cards but I am not sure if this
is a compact flash card or a microdrive.

2. For UK purchase, I have heard people talk about a company called
Expansys (I think) - can someone please confirm that this is the correct
company name and that they are a good firm to deal with. If you have a
contact phone number that would also be useful.

3. Also on this list I have heard mention of the Sanddisk brand of card.
Are these cards compact flash cards or some other format, or do they make a
range of different types of card/microdrive?

Thanks in advance,

Jamie
