BuildRoot was one of the systems we've looked at when we started with
PTXdist. At that time BR didn't have kconfig support and Eric didn't
want to add it, so we went our own way. In the meantime PTXdist got
quite some new features, but I'm not aware of the status BR is in, it
might have evolved as well.

In fact, BR was probably the build system which provided the initial
ideas for the PTXdist packet format, so you probably won't have much
problems to port your packet. However, it won't work without touching.
