I already changed to gcc 4.2.1 (introduces some new cpu switch -mcfv4e).
I will check for the latest glibc - maybe this will help :-)

At least it would be worth a try.

We are going to use a mcf5481 cpu (v4e core for _real_ linux). The are
several vendors for a 'cpu' board (RAM, ROM, Clk, Reset, CoreVolt) under
discussion. The mainboard for this CPU PCB is done by ourself.

But before I start to port and adapt the OS and userland stuff for our
target, I need a stable and tested toolchain, which won't change once a
week. And of course this toolchain should support the latest CF ISA and
assembly instructions.
