I have mapped the root directory as NFS. But still i am getting the following error. S: Mounted root (nfs filesystem) on device 0:13. Freeing init memory: 128K Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init! Backtrace: [<c002c9e4>] (dump_backtrace+0x0/0x104) from [<c02e92dc>] (dump_stack+0x18/0x1c) Looks like, able to get the File System from NFS. But something wrong in the FileSystem configuation. please suggest what would be wrong in the Filesystem configuration. Thanks suresh
