Patching the kernel after you've build the toolchain won't have any effect. Jon Jon, I'm glad you mentioned this. Can I specify an external kernel tree when building the toolchain (this would be the patched kernel)? The toolchain project uses only the "ptxconfig" file and does not use the "platformconfig" file, yet the option to use an external kernel tree is only present in the ptxdist platformconfig operation. The ptxconfig file for the toolchain project contains the flag "PTXCONF_KERNEL_HEADERS_VERSION", does this imply that only the patched header files are important during the toolchain build?
