About PTXdist ------------- PTXdist is a build system for embedded Linux systems. It's aim is to make building embedded systems based on the leading open source operating system a) easy for the developer and b) highly reproducable, in order to be able to fulfill the quality requirements of the industry. ptxdist can be used to build highly customized root filesystems, GNU toolchains based on gcc and several other things which require an automated build system. The build system is released under the GNU General Public License, making it a first class choice for industrial projects with a long term strategy who don't want to tap into another vendor lock-in pit fall.
