Hello,

I am currently working on a custom package for ptxdist for a specific
application, developed by me and I am having problems with the
implementation of the targetinstall step of the package in ptxdist. I
implemented an autotools project for my application, in order to be
better compliant with ptxdist.

My project consists of binaries, libraries an files that should be
installed in (/usr) directory in the root filesystem. The tree is
basically (/usr/app/bin, /usr/app/lib, /usr/app/data).

When I implement the ptxdit rule for the project, everything works fine,
except that I receive a message indicating that "no package has been
created". Consequently, when I copy the image to the disk, I have
everything except my application.

Looking at ptxdist documentation, I saw that the macro "install_copy"
should be used to solve this issue. The documentation says that
install_copy copies directories, but I believe it doesn't, for two
reasons: 1) there is no example indicating a directory copy on the
documentation (maybe it is not important) and 2) I have an error
'omitting directory ...', indicating that a directory that exists could
not be found.

I don't know why the '-' option in src of the install_copy command is
not working. For information: I had to add --prefix=/usr/app in autoconf
variable, because autoconf didn't like the default prefix /usr.

I would like to know how is the best approach to move complete directory
structures to the target and to the ipkg file without having to copy
each one file by file.

Best regards and thank you for your attention.

Flavio
