As the icedtea website provides build instructions that look very much like
./configure
make
make install

Why not do it the right (one and only true(TM)) way and create a package for it as pointed out in http://www.ptxdist.org/software/ptxdist/appnotes/OSELAS.BSP-Pengutronix-Generic-arm-Quickstart.pdf?

Plus, just saying "a general purpose 'error 2'" message without providing the concerning build log is pretty much useless.

Besides that, please note that the mailing list is specifically for ptxdist issues, and making things work with ptxdist, not for somehow crosscompiling things in general - and especially not a replacement for commercial support for phytec's devices.
