Things ground to a halt and the Neither public mailing list faded away
over the holiday period but people are back now and the announcement in
my previous message in this thread was agreed to at a meeting this
evening.
Peter should be announcing availability of the preview of the new
Neither web site shortly so that anyone interested can comment. Comments
should go here for now. A separate web content list is available and can
be used later if that becomes a problem.
Previously I had hoped there was sufficient enthusiasm around for us to
"launch" an effective national organization fairly quickly.
My impression now is that we will just be coasting along for quite a
while, but there is a great opportunity in the impending Republic
referendum debate and sufficient interest for us to gradually develop a
viable organization over the long term.
I suggest we focus on getting an interesting web site established as a
focus for opposition to the two party system and preparing material for
the Vote No campaign. The Republic debate is likely to start quite soon
and NOW is the time to prepare material for it.
