Great picture in this morning's edition of "The Australian" showing an Indo
agent or Timorese quisling cowering in front of an Australian soldier's gun.
Funny how their bravado evaporates when they are not busy slaughtering
terrified civilians or killing a journo from ambush. Hope it gets coverage
in Jakarta to rub salt into the wounds which have already been inflicted on
arrogant pride in their capacity to kill, torture, rape, loot and burn. All
helps prevent restoration of friendship until the empire has crumbled.

And the foreign editor of The Australian, Paul Kelly, is cranking into high
gear in pursuit of the campaign to mend the relationship with Indonesia as
soon as possible, using East Timor as a pawn of both Indonesia and Australia.

A letter to The West Australian this morning asked whether a "statesman" was
supposed to be someone who could look a mass murderer in the eye and shake
him by the hand.
