I agree Alan. I have been screaming about this for years. We know the courts cant be trusted, why should the electoral commisions be any different. I wonder if the deregistered One Nation Party can nominate us? We better find a party in a hurry, boycotting is of no use. Phil

Below is a copy of a letter to the Editor of our local paper that I sent in today,
This is Australian Democracy at work.
Alan

Sir.

Last week I nominated myself as a scrutineer at the coming referendum. Today I recieved a reply from the Electoral Commission.

The only scrutineers allowed in the booths or at the counting will be people selected by the Governor-General, the State Governor or persons nominated by a POLITICAL PARTY.

This is totally unacceptable to me so unless there is a change before Nov. 6, I will be boycotting the referendum
What sort of monkey business is going on'? I cannot see the G-G or Governors picking out people to scrutineer at every booth and counting centre in Australia so who is going to appoint them ?

One other thing, the polling place managers have instructions to refuse entry to a!! persons who have not been officially appointed
