Hi,
What a wonderful person it is who wrote this. We can trade with everyone
for anything, whatever their politics or whatever their bad, inhuman deeds;
but let them dare set foot on Australian soil and they become "aliens'. If
the Aboriginals had done such deeds none of us would be here. More likely
crying to an international court that they wouldn't let us in. Where's the
sign that says "Australians only" signed The Maker? Here we have one of the
biggest lumps of dirt on this scrubby little planet; mostly unoccupied
(absentee white landowners?) and you moan about some poor bastard forced to
flee his/her homeland. What a narrow bunch! How can people be
"illegal"? We settled that argument some 25-30 years ago when the term
"bastard" ceased to refer to a child born out of wedlock.
At least Olsen got his way... Woomera will once again house a bunch of
those strange, non human creatures from some other part of the planet. (But
not from Kosovo)
It is easy to see the white Australia policy is much liked among
conservative politics and well enforced by the modern Gestapo known as the
Immigration Dept. And that we have ever more crowded prison camps dotted
around the less hospitable parts of this lump of dirt.
Let them in. At least they chose us against everyone else. Whatever their
reasons for moving home they are entitled to a place on this planet. They
are, after all is said and done, simply human beings. And they may even pay
taxes!
Patriots? To whom? Certainly not the human race.

These are the simple facts:
If you have no land to live from,
you are dependent on money to purchase the products of the
land;
If you have no money to live from,
you depend on employment to gain the money;
If you have no employment,
then dependent on the State;
If the State refuses you,
you beg for the charity of the rich;
If there is no charity,
you steal or you die.
Such is the chain which binds us to each other, and to the land.
