Subject: [GSTmandate] The 'unlucky' country

From: "Reclaim Australia" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

The following is an article that was faxed to me from a friend that got it
out of the daily news newspaper near Warwick.

The 'unlucky' country

Our 20th century millionaire past Prime Ministers! Such as Mr. Whitlam the
'National Treasure'. Mr. Fraser. Mr. Hawke and Mr. Keating who are held up
as political icons! But why did these supposed stalwarts deceitfully allow
the 1953 International Taxation Agreement bill to go unrescinded?

This tax agreement allows foreign corporations to transfer their profits
offshore tax-free. This tax concession has been extended to 34 foreign
countries. As an 'added bonus', they have naturalisation status bestowed
upon them.

Foreign corporations own and control 90 per cent of Australian industries
and enterprises that transfer $400 billion profit offshore tax-free to their
tax havens each year.

Over the past 46 years, Australian taxpayers would have been cheated out of
around $1500 billion. 'Unlucky Country?' Yes! Foreign cartels know we are
'ripe for the taking' and with our politicians' blessings!

Mr Howard PM and treasurer Mr Costello together with all politicians in the
Liberal. National, Labor, Democrat and Green Parties are all equally guilty
for not demanding that the 1953 Tax Agreement Bill be rescinded.

The GST of 10 per cent will destroy this downsized politically wrecked
country! However, the GST is a bonanza for the 90 per cent foreign cartel
ownership. They will gain $650 billion plus extra to send offshore tax-free
as they will not pay wholesale or sales tax or income tax.

Instead of a GST with excessive compliance cost requirements, all that is
necessary is a 1 per cent tax on all domestic transactions as nominated by
the Australian Payments Clearing Associated whose 85 members process
domestic payments with $120 billion each day.

This would mean the Government would collect $1.2 billion per day and on a
312-day basis.

The yearly tax revenue would be $374 billion! Also, no other taxes, no tax
returns and no GST.

The Australian Bureau of Statistics taxation revenue 5506.0 1997-1998
figures:

Total tax revenue collected =$167.9 billion;

Australians paid 91.1%: $160.1 billion;

Foreign enterprises paid 4.9% = $7.8 billion.

These figures clearly indicate that this 1953 Tax Act must be rescinded
immediately and stop the political tax exemption gift to foreign cartels as
Australian tax-payors have been robbed for 46 years.
