Getting back to the issue of creating and populating ontologies from existing
texts in the absence of subject classification schemes for new or overlapping
multidisciplinary areas of research, I found a reference to Mondeca for
sustainable tourism.
Are there instances or case studies which deal with other issues in sustainable
development, e.g. biodiversity, climate change, waste management, energy,
pollution and contaminants, housing and urban development?
Are there any national or international programs or projects known that deal
with very specific areas.
Since the UN itself has been slow in getting this going, I assume the more
probable place to look is research institutes or software companies building
specific applications.
We are looking very specifically to cover the water, energy, health,
agriculture and biodiversity fields.
