Few questions that raises for me.
So it was using zitist URIs as a sort of linking service?
No, just Zitgist cname based URIs.
And they used to be in dbpdia?
They are still in DBpedia, but the data is old.
And if they were "scant, old, and based on Zitgist URIs":
So exactly what does a thick black arrow mean on the LOD diagram?
Personally, I have no idea :-(

We have a new Musicbrainz dump, and it will be integrated into DBpedia (I think Georgi is working on this). There will soon be a public dump available to others in the coming days.
