The very practical problem of file sizes.

Your hash URIs can of course be distributed across a collection of files. e.g.

        http://example.com/~alice/foaf.rdf#me
        http://example.com/~bob/foaf.rdf#me
        http://example.com/~carol/foaf.rdf#me
