Two fully funded Doctoral Researcher @ Institute AIFB, KIT, Germany. PhD 
students are hired as Scientific Staff.

For research projects concerned with knowledge extraction, data integration and 
analytics we seek to fill positions for fully funded Doctoral Researchers for 
two years, with renewal possible. Doctoral Researchers are hired as scientific 
staff.

We are seeking applications from individuals with a very good Masters degree 
(or equivalent) in computer science, math or related disciplines. Background 
and research interest in at least one of the topic areas Data Analytics, 
Structured Statistical Models, Machine Learning, Semantic Technologies, Linked 
Data, Text Mining, Graph Mining is expected, for instance with expertise in 
Representation, Inference and Learning in Graphical Models for Entity 
Resolution.
Further, we require general competencies that qualify you for scientific work, 
active participation in research projects and assistance in the guidance of 
students and lecturing. The position requires advanced English language skills. 
The willingness to learn German is expected.

The Knowledge Management research group at the Institute of Applied Informatics 
and Formal Description Methods (AIFB) is an interdisciplinary team of computer 
scientists and related disciplines and among the leading international 
institutions in the field of semantic technologies. KIT is one of the leading

Our group offers a firstclass and international research environment with 
various interdisciplinary but related research topics and projects. The close 
cooperation with the FZI Research Center for Information Technology in 
Karlsruhe, the Karlsruhe Service Research Institute (KSRI) and a large industry 
partner network allows for the combination of fundamental and applied research 
and a fast transfer of research results into practice.
