Pat,The benefit of these relations is all about the follow-your-nose aspect of Linked Data. Basically, in a typical Linked Data oriented description page, I end up being only click away from pivoting back to the main ontology and then out to some other class or property description.
I've added the missing relations to my local copy of the ontology using SPARQL 1.1. Now I have a document [1] which shows the desired effect.
