*Important Dates*
- Deadline for Application: Thursday, 15 August 2013
- Early Registration Date: Friday, 16 August 2013
=============================================================================

We are pleased to announce that the Semantic Web Science Association (SWSA) has contributed 25,000€ to support participation by full-time students in ISWC 2013, and we also anticipate funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation to support students attending U.S. universities. We expect that the SWSA funds will support around 25 awards of 1,000€ each, although the actual award amounts could be significantly different, depending on the number of qualified applicants.

All full-time students are eligible for SWSA funds, although these funds will primarily be used for students attending schools outside of the U.S. SWSA funds have no restrictions on airlines and can cover registration costs.

Our goal is to encourage students who want to become part of the Semantic Web research community, and we hope that participation in ISWC 2013 will be a significant event in the graduate careers of the selected students. In selecting applications for travel support, preference will be given to students selected to participate in the doctoral consortium, followed by students who are first author on a paper accepted at the conference, followed by students who have other authorship on a conference or related workshop paper.

In order to apply, please go to the Student Travel Funds Application form at http://iswc2013.semanticweb.org/content/student-travel-awards and submit the form. Also have your advisor e-mail a recommendation to [email protected] in which he/she states support for your application, affirms your status as a full-time student, and indicates the maximum extent to which he/she will provide funds for your trip. To receive full consideration, both applications and advisor letters must be received by August 15th, 2013.
