I think DOAP is the best bet for advertising a Root Node, but if you think
about it in those terms, you are already there so what's the point ?

Actually, there is a point.  There are any number of things which can happen
after a hyperlink is activated, and as Winston Churchill said; "Why, you can
take the most
gallant sailor, the most intrepid airman or the most audacious soldier, put
them at a table together - what do you get? The sum of their fears.".

1) You could add the DOAP as text with working links.  If you recognize DOAP,
you know where to look for the link splash in your browser.
2) The W3C Validator does not validate DOAP, if it did you could provide a
"revalidation" link and badge to confirm the content.  Any other trusted
validation service would do, though.

Subject: An ontology for adverts?

Does anyone know if there is any ontology for adverts?

I'd like to take a product or service or project, then put up a banner link or
a text ad on my site based on machine readable data

Is DOAP the best bet?
