I just want the URI of the current node in the graph to be a live link i.e., an exit point from the visualization tool to the actual source. You offer something close to this in the side panel, but its scoped to the entire ontology rather than a selected term.

I am suggesting you make the selected node text e.g., "Tagging" an HTTP URI (hyperlink) via Tagging .

The URI and link is already there! The labels in the "Selection Details" (e.g., "Tagging") are hyperlinks that you can click on to go to the actual URIs. As it does not seem to be that clear (and the hyperlink URI may not be properly shown in all web browsers), we already discussed to add further tooltips with the URIs in the GUI.

You spec says:

Labels

If elements do not have an rdfs:label, it is recommended to take the last part of the URI as label, i.e. the part that follows the last slash (/) or hash (#) character. Labels may be abbreviated if they do not fit in the available space (e.g. "Winnie-the-Pooh" → "Winnie…"). The full label should be shown on demand in these cases (e.g. in a tooltip or sidebar).

Labels

Labels may be abbreviated if they do not fit in the available space (e.g. "Winnie-the-Pooh" → "Winnie…"). The full label should be shown on demand in these cases (e.g. in a tooltip or sidebar) and the label itself hyperlinked when the item is question is *named* using an HTTP URI.

So instead of "Winnie" or "Winnie-the-Pooh" or rdfs:label value, it will be: {"Winnie" or "Winnie-the-Pooh" or rdfs:label value}.

Then you won't have to explain any of this as users will simply have to options:

1. Click as per usual to explore the graph visual
2. CTRL+Mouse+Click to grab item HTTP URI en route to further Linked Data exploration -- using any HTTP user agent.
