At this time, official release (open or closed source) is unpredictable, this is a major undertaking that affects the core Virtuoso engine.

  Im using Virtuoso in my project and would be good to have SPIn
support there instead than using Jena as wrapper...

I will be in a better position to predict official release by mid January.
