has anyone done this before, are there somewhere real examples?

any pointer greatly appreciated.

You may have looked into this already, but I'll mention it any way, in case it is of use to someone else.

Consider using OPMW [3], P-PLAN [4] and PROV-O [5]. These aren't exclusively for software processes, but for any general process.

Depending on the granularity you want to work with, it might fit the bill. We have experimented with describing the actual workflows e.g., [6], but IIRC, have not executed an action from the descriptions.

Sarven,

In regards to locating RDF-Turtle docs for the items above, I performed the following tasks using HTTP URI manipulation:

1. http://lov.okfn.org/dataset/lov/vocabs/{namespace} -- obtain description doc URI from LOV via vocabulary namespace 2. http://linkeddata.uriburner.com/about/html/http/{lov-vocabulary-description-uri} -- to import the Vocabulary into URIBurner 3. http://linkeddata.uriburner.com/describe/?url=http%3A%2F%2Flov.okfn.org%2Fdataset%2Flov%2Fvocabs%2Fopmw%2Fversions%2F2015-01-11.n3&distinct=1 -- to obtain an alternative faceted browsing view of the vocabulary in question.

Live Results:

OPMW:

[1] http://lov.okfn.org/dataset/lov/vocabs/opmw -- identifies LOV description document [2] http://linkeddata.uriburner.com/about/html/http://lov.okfn.org/dataset/lov/vocabs/opmw/versions/2015-01-11.n3 - identifies Basic URIBurner description document [3] http://linkeddata.uriburner.com/c/9D6PWI7O -- identifies Faceted Browsing based description document.

P-Plan:

[1] http://lov.okfn.org/dataset/lov/vocabs/p-plan - identifies LOV description document [2] http://linkeddata.uriburner.com/about/html/http/lov.okfn.org/dataset/lov/vocabs/p-plan/versions/2014-03-12.n3-- identifies Basic URIBurner description document [3] http://linkeddata.uriburner.com/describe/?uri=http%3A%2F%2Flov.okfn.org%2Fdataset%2Flov%2Fvocabs%2Fp-plan%2Fversions%2F2014-03-12.n3 -- identifies Faceted Browsing based description document.
